How does the 'Sign me in automatically' work?
The 'Sign me in automatically' is optional, it saves your username and password on your computer and every time you access the page you will be automatically logged in.
What happens if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, please click on the 'Forgot your Password?' link of the front of the directory or on the sponsor login page. The password recovery email will be sent to the email address provided from your Contact Information. The email will contain a link which will redirect the user to the 'Manage Account' section, where the password can be updated.
How can I change my password?
After you are logged in, click on 'Account Settings' link, you will see the 'Current Password' field, type your current password in this field and your new password on the fields 'Password' and 'Retype Password', then hit the submit button.
Am I required to have an account to add items to the site?
Yes. In order to add any item, including Free items, to the directory you must have an account.
How can I sign up for an account?
To sign up as a sponsor go to the 'Advertise With Us' link at top menu, select an item and level and click in 'SIGN UP' button. Fill out all fields, write down your username and password for future reference, choose the best payment gateway for you and follow the steps to finish the process. To sign up as a visitor go to 'Sign up | Login' link at top menu, fill out all fields and click in 'Create Account'.
Why am I receiving an 'Account Locked' message?
If you attempt to access your account and type in an incorrect password 5 times the account will lock for 1 hour. This is for security reasons.
On my profile page, it mentions SEO - what is this?
What: SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation and this assists you in ensuring that you maximise or improve your search ability when a user types in various words into a search engine. Therefore in the space provided by us, type in words that you would like people to link to you. For example, as an Architect you would consider: “architect” “design” “architecture” - therefore when these words are typed into search engines your profile will be linked and appear as a link to follow. TIP: Try to be as specific as possible to reach your target client i.e. “Watford”, “Modular” or “Permitted development”. Title: Place the name of your company (the page name is automatically generated) SEO Keywords: Up to 10 words you would like to be associated with your brand - therefore helping your link to appear when such words are typed into a search engine. Description: Using up to 250 characters, add sentences that you would like to associate with your brand, again if such phrases are typed into a search engine it will help your to will appear. Include locations or niche focus areas here too.
When creating the listing, there is an option to upload an image on the right hand side of the screen, what image should be uploaded here?
On the right hand side of the creation page is a tab to upload a picture of your logo or visual associated with your brand. This is the picture that will appear next to your name on the directory, and will be the way the users can start to identify you - therefore your logo is recommended. Choose your logo file (a png. File is perfect, at around 250x width) and then save your logo onto your desktop. Upload this through the ‘Choose File +’ button on the right hand side, and select browse. If you need to resize your file, search online for a safe image resizer.
What do I do if my Professional Skill does not appear on the categories list? (for example, Interior Designer)
This is not a problem, you have the option to manually type in your category in the provided text box. You have up to 20 Characters, so use this as a description name rather than a descriptive sentence (you will have the chance to describe yourself at a later stage).
In order to leave a recommendation for a member on the directory, do I need to be a member myself?
No, you just need to provide details by signing up with a free Visitor Account - this does not mean you are a full member, and you will not need to pay for anything.
As a Silver or Gold member I have to upload a company USP - what is this? (Unique Selling Proposition)
A Unique Selling Proposition is the aspect of yourself or your business that differentiates you from others and competitors. This tab is the opportunity for you to describe what differentiates you from market competitors. Ultimately, you are describing the aspect of your business that makes customers draw their attention to you versus other competitors.
In order to get access to site proposals what membership do I need to have?
In order to be eligible for access to potential sites for development/redevelopment you need to have a Silver or Gold Membership.
What membership do I need to be eligible for formal introductions to other members on the Directory?
In order to receive a formal introduction to another member on the DIrectory you will need to have the minimum requirement of a Bronze Membership.
How do I upload the URL for my Website onto my Directory page?
This is an option that will be available to you once you have a Bronze Membership or above. There will then be a tab in the ‘edit’ section of your profile to fill this in.
How do I get professional recommendations?
In order to boost your profile and get professional recommendations you have two options: 1. Send the referee a link to your profile and ask them to please go onto the TrustedLand website and leave a recommendation on your page. 2. Provide the TrustedLand Team with the referees details and one of the team will get in touch with this person and request that they leave a recommendation on your profile.
How do I upgrade my account?
You unfortunately cannot upgrade on the site, you will need to contact team@trustedland.co.uk and we will facilitate the upgrade for you.
How do I delete my account?
In order to delete your account, contact team@trustedland.co.uk and ask for one of the Site Managers to delete your account for you.
How do I change my email address attached to my account?
Contact team@trustedland.co.uk with your new email address and we will change this for you as the Site Manager.
How do I upload an Article onto my profile
If you want to add articles, you can either go through the advertise page or through the sponsors area (located at the top of the dashboard). In here, you will have the option to add a new article.
How do I upload images onto my profile?
These can be uploaded into the top right hand section that says “upload images”. Depending on your membership, you will get a limit to the number of images that can be uploaded. Please note that this is the same “upload images” area that your logo will be uploaded, please select the option on the images for your logo to be the “main image”, as this will then show up on your profile when people are browsing the Directory, ultimately helping with the search of you are your company.
